Description: Officer Courtney attempted to arrest a drunken man at the local courthouse. He was struck in the chest by the suspect. Officer Courtney suffered from the injury for the remainder of his career, which forced him to medically retire in December. Officer Courtney died in March due to complications resulting from the injury.
