Description: Officer Conboy was shot during an undercover narcotics investigation. Officer Conboy and his partner, Sergeant James Elkins, had arranged a meeting with two drug dealers at the Silver Spring Holiday Inn in room 1022. One of the dealers produced a handgun and shot Officer Conboy in the chest. Sergeant Elkins was shot in the arm and back but survived his wounds. Officer Conboy died at the hospital an hour later. The suspects were taken into custody.
