Description: Constables Coop and Virgil Atherton went to a residence with a warrant to search for illegal whiskey. The occupants of the house shot both Constables who returned fire. Constable Coop died en route to the hospital. Constable Atherton was wounded but survived. One suspect died and the other suspect was wounded.
