Description: Police Officer Domagala succumbed to complications of a gunshot wound sustained on July 14, 1988. Officer Domagala was a member of the Hostage, Barricade and Terrorist Team and was involved in an eight hour standoff with a barricaded suspect. Officer Domagala took a covered position behind a garage and was shot in the head. Officer Domagala suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him disabled and confined to a wheelchair. Throughout the years he required several surgeries and continued to experience complications as a result of the initial gunshot wound. Officer Domagala succumbed to his injuries on September 5, 2017.
