Description: Patrolman Demortiers was shot by an intoxicated man while walking his beat. The man had just come from the saloon when he pulled a .32 revolver and shot Patrolman Demortiers in the head and neck. Patrolman Demortiers was transported to the hospital where he died. The suspect was convicted of murder and died in prison.
