Description: Patrolman Dedeaux was shot after he stopped a man who was riding a bicycle on US Hwy 49. As Patrolman Dedeaux questioned the suspect, the man pulled a .22 caliber handgun and fatally shot Patrolman Dedeaux. The suspect fled but was apprehended later that day. The suspect was convicted of murder and executed in 2002.
