Description: Officer Deal was assigned to investigate and accident and direct traffic on Elyiria Lorain Road. After having stopped traffic a car came speeding down the road, not even allowing enough time for Officer Deal to jump out of the way. Officer Deal was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. After hitting Officer Deal, the 19-year-old driver turned off his lights and drove away, but confessed the next day at the advice of his father.
