Description: Officer Davis was working in uniform, on an off-duty security job for a check cashing business. When he and the owner opened in the morning, they were ambushed by several suspects and both the owner and Officer Davis were killed. His assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Three other accomplices were also convicted of murder. Officer Davis' brother-in-law, Ronald Hearn (Dept. of Veterans Affairs), was shot and killed in 1988 in an unprovoked attack and is listed on the Memorial.
