Description: Deputy Sheriff Driggers was shot by a prisoner as he moved the inmate from the patrol car to the jail. The prisoner pulled a concealed .38 revolver and shot Deputy Driggers five times. Deputy Driggers died at the scene. His assailant was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
