Description: Lieutenant Dahlem was struck and killed by a drunk driver while on foot patrol following the NCAA basketball game at the University of Florida. Lieutenant Dahlem was walking across a road that was closed to vehicular traffic, when a pickup truck struck him from behind. Lieutenant Dahlem was transported to a local hospital where he remained on life support before succumbing to his injuries the next day. The driver was convicted of aggravated manslaughter and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
