Description: Constable Dando was fatally shot as he attempted to arrest a suspect on charges of familial desertion and non-support. When Constable Dando arrived at the residence, the suspect pulled a shotgun and shot Constable Dando in the chest. Constable Dando was transported to his home where he died the next day. The suspect fled the scene and turned himself in to authorities seven years later. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
