Description: Officer Donovan was waiting to be called for assignment at headquarters when he was accidentally shot by fellow officer Myron Bullard. Officer Bullard's weapon had just been inspected and he was returning it to its holster when the weapon discharged. Officer Donovan was shot in the abdomen and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later. Officer Bullard was cleared of any negligence. (Friendly fire.)
