Description: Detective Davis was ambushed and shot as he and other officers conducted a massive manhunt for the murderer of Sacramento County Deputy Danny Oliver. Detective Davis was fatally shot as he exited his vehicle. Two suspects were arrested. Detective Davis was killed on the same day as his father, Riverside County Investigator Michael Davis in 1988 (Panel 16-E: 16).
