Description: Police Officer II De Guzman was shot and killed while he and his partner conducted a pedestrian stop. Officer De Guzman and his partner noticed two individuals walking in an area. When the individuals saw the police cruiser they split up. Officer De Guzman's partner exited the vehicle and began interviewing one of the suspects when the suspect pulled a handgun and opened fire on both officers. Officer De Guzman died at the scene. The second officer survived.
