Description: Corporal Dickson was ambushed and fatally shot at the Blooming Grove State Police Barracks. Corporal Dickson and Trooper Alex Douglass were both outside of the barracks during a shift change when they were shot by an unknown assailant using a .308 caliber rifle. Corporal Dickson died at the scene. The second trooper survived his injuries. The suspect was apprehended after a 48 day manhunt in the Poconos by law enforcement. The suspect was convicted of all charges, including murder, and sentenced to death.
