Description: Chief of Police Dimock received a telegram from another agency concerning a train carrying a gang of hobos. Chief Dimock went with his officers to the bridge to intercept the train. After the train was stopped on the bridge, Chief Dimock went to the rear of the train. As Chief Dimock jumped from the train to the tracks, he lost his footing and fell 36 feet on the rocks below. Chief Dimock was transported to the hospital where he died shortly after arrival. Seven hobos were arrested.
