Description: Constable Dix was accidentally shot when his handgun fell from its holster to the floor and discharged. Constable Dix was attending a town board meeting and representing his department when the incident occurred. Constable Dix was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and died of his injuries the next day.
