Description: Trooper Dalton was killed in an automobile crash while on routine patrol on Hwy 71. His patrol unit was struck by an SUV that had failed to yield the right-of-way. The impact of the collision sent Trooper Dalton's patrol vehicle into a spin, and landed it in a nearby ditch. Trooper Dalton was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
