Description: Chief of Police Dunn was ambushed and shot by the father of a suspect whom he had arrested several times. The state senator and state representative were also shot during this attack but survived. Chief Dunn was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries three days later. Their assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
