Description: Chief of Police Dworski and Assistant Chief of Police Anthony Maslowski contracted Spanish Influenza while personally assisting victims of the disease. The officers were also tasked with placarding the houses of influenza victims. Chief Dworski became ill on October 9, 1918 and died of pneumonia following influenza six days later on October 15th. Assistant Chief Maslowski became ill on October 1, 1918 and died of influenza twelve days later.
