Description: Officer Dollard was on his beat when he observed that something was not quite right at the auto store. Officer Dollard went to the rear of the building and spotted a car piled high with tires and auto accessories. Shots were fired and Officer Dollard was struck in the head and chest. Officer Dollard died at the scene. The suspects were captured and tried in a court of law. Two of the men received life sentences and the third man escaped prison and was never apprehended.
