Description: Patrolman Denzinger was shot and killed when he and another officer responded to a disturbance call in Georgetown, Indiana. A 15-year-old juvenile suspect, who had been arguing with his mother, ambushed both officers with a high-powered rifle when they arrived at the scene. Patrolman Denzinger was shot in the head with a M-1 rifle and transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Patrolman White survived the attack.
