Description: Officer Dukes, who was off-duty, was shot when he attempted to stop a robbery in progress at a bar. Police arrived at the scene and found Officer Dukes lying on the floor with two gunshot wounds to the chest. Officer Dukes was taken to the hospital where he died the next day. His assailant was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to death.
