Description: Inspector Daniel drowned when his department vehicle plummeted into a canal. Inspector Daniel and two other Postal Inspectors were traveling in an official vehicle during a snow storm eight miles South of Logan, Utah. As they attempted to cross a snow-ridden bridge, the front end of their vehicle plunged into the Hyrum Canal. Inspector Daniel's body was recovered the next day. The other Inspectors survived.
