Description: Officer Drover had just finished developing some photographs when he was fatally shot by three prisoners attempting to escape the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. Sergeant F.C. Godfrey and Deputy Warden D. C. Oates were also killed in this incident. All three inmates were killed during the escape attempt.
