Description: Sheriff Duval was shot and killed while attempting to settle a dispute between coal miners and the citizens of tent colony. The citizens in the tent colony charged down a hill and ambushed the officers where assigned to protect the coal mine. Sheriff Duval was shot fatally and two deputies were wounded in this incident.
