Description: Officers Drexler and Jack Tatum were both shot as they stepped out of their cruiser when they responded to a burglar alarm. Officer Drexler died at the scene. Officer Tatum, who was wounded in the leg, struggled with the suspect and arrested him. Two suspects were eventually charged and sentenced to life in prison.
