Description: Deputy Sheriff Deutch was shot and killed while investigating a domestic disturbance call. A woman fled to a nearby casino to escape her boyfriend. Once deputies arrived, the suspect opened fire on them with an XKS automatic rifle. Deputy Deutch was struck three times in the abdomen and the bullets penetrated his bullet-proof vest. Another deputy returned fire, killing the suspect. Deputy Deutch was airlifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
