Description: Special Officer Dunman and Deputy Guy Pope (Panel 39-E: 23) were shot when they went to a suspect's house to question him about a burglary in Milam County, Texas. The suspect opened fire on the officers, killing Officer Dunman and Deputy Pope. The suspect committed suicide after an exchange of gunfire with the responding officers.
