Description: Officer Davis was investigating a report of a suspicious person inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. Officer Davis approached the suspect and requested his identification. While checking the suspects identification, the suspect produced a weapon and shot Officer Davis in the head. The suspect then stole Officer Davis' service weapon and fled the scene. Officer Davis was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
