Description: Sheriff Dana was killed as he attempted to arrest a suspect for murder. The suspect had killed a woman who attempted to stop him from stealing her blanket. While attempting to arrest the suspect a gun fight erupted. Sheriff Dana was killed when a cousin of the suspect shot a glass-tipped arrow into his abdomen. Sheriff Dana died two days later. His assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years in jail.
