Description: Patrolman Diaz was killed after falling from a highway overpass while assisting in an arrest. A suspected police impersonator was detained on Interstate 95 by law enforcement officers for questioning. Patrolman Diaz attempted to position himself on the other side of the overpass when he lost his balance and fell 100 feet, landing on a set of railroad tracks. Patrolman Diaz succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at the Broward General Hospital.
