Description: Deputy Sheriff Diaz was shot and killed while in pursuit of a drunk parolee. After a high-speed pursuit the suspect stopped, exited the car, and opened fire on Deputy Diaz. Deputy Diaz was shot fatally just above his bulletproof vest. The suspect was apprehended and charged with several counts including first degree murder.
