Description: Accidental shooting. Probation Officer DeLozier was exiting his official vehicle when he dislodged the pistol inside his pocket. The weapon discharged when it struck the pavement. The bullet severed a main artery in Officer DeLozier's leg and he bled to death. Department has confirmed that Officer DeLozier had law enforcement status and the powers of arrest.
