Description: Detective Dressel was shot and killed while patrolling a neighborhood plagued by drugs and violence. While on foot patrol, Detective Dressel and his partner interrupted a drug deal and several suspects fled. Detective Dressel engaged in a foot pursuit with a 15-year-old juvenile suspect who produced a weapon and shot him in the chest. Detective Dressel was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
