Description: Special Deputy Marshal Dixon was shot and killed while attempting to arrest robbery suspects in Saskawa, Indian Territory (Oklahoma). The suspects had robbed a post office and killed Deputy Marshal Dixon a few nights before. Special Marshal Dixon and a few possemen went to the house were the suspects were staying. As Special Marshal Dixon approached the building he was shot down by a rifle but managed to shoot and kill a suspect before he died.
