Description: Investigator Davis was the passenger in a department vehicle operated by Investigator James DeWitt. The men were returning from lake patrol when the vehicle crashed into a ditch and struck a concrete culvert. Investigator Davis was thrown from the vehicle. He sustained massive head injuries and died the following day. Investigator DeWitt survived the incident.
