Description: Captain DeFusco was killed in an airplane crash while searching for illegal marijuana growth in the San Isabel National Forest. Captain DeFusco was conducting a narcotics investigation from an aircraft when he failed to make radio contact with a team of officers on the ground. Law enforcement officers located the wreckage several hours later. A retired police captain, who was the pilot of the plane, was also killed in the crash.
