Description: Police Officer Davis was shot as he and a posse attempted to arrest a suspect wanted for the theft of government livestock. The suspect initially agreed to surrender but then opened fire on the officers. Officer Davis and the suspect were both mortally wounded in an exchange of gunfire and both men died on the same day 10 days later.
