Description: Detective DiNardo was shot and killed while attempting to enter a residence where armed robbery suspects were barricaded. Officers had tracked the violent robbery suspects to the apartment. As they rammed the door down, the officer were met with gunfire. Detective DiNardo was shot in the face, and four other officers were injured in the incident. Two suspects were also killed during the gun battle.
