Description: Special Police Officer Dyer died of injuries sustained when he was hit by a car while directing traffic nine days prior. Officer Dyer was struck at an intersection when a driver failed to heed his commands to stop. Officer Dyer was transported to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries nine days later.
