Description: Officer Davey was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic around a utility work site. Officer Davey was directing traffic when a truck ran a stop sign and struck a car, which then hit the deputy. Emergency medical crews working across the street attempted to save Officer Davey, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The suspect was charged with motor-vehicle homicide, reckless driving, speeding, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
