Description: Chief of Police Dolan was overcome by smoke when the police and fire departments responded to a fire at a boarding house. Although Chief Dolan entered the building with a gas mask to escort the residents out, he collapsed due to asphyxiation. Chief Dolan was transported to the hospital where he died. The arsonist, who was also a fireman, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 60 years to life in prison.
