Description: Sergeant Deckard was shot and killed with his own weapon by a suspect he was transporting to jail. The suspect freed one hand from the restraints, reached over the back seat of the cruiser, took Sergeant Deckard's weapon and shot him twice. Sergeant Deckard was found hours later slumped over the steering wheel of his cruiser. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
