Description: Deputy Douglas attempted to arrest a man for the unlawful possession of a handgun. The suspect drew his gun but Deputy Douglas was able to shoot the suspect four times. As the suspect lay dying, Deputy Douglas attempted to remove the gun from the suspect's grasp. The suspect fired once, striking Deputy Douglas in the abdomen. Deputy Douglas was rushed to the hospital and succumbed to his wounds the following day.
