Description: Officer Durkin had stopped a suspicious person when the suspect pulled a gun and shot the officer twice at point blank range with a .22 pistol. Officer Durkin was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
