Description: Deputy Sheriff Daniel was shot and killed while investigating a disturbance at the Southern Mining Company camp. Deputy Daniel was shot while attempting to arrest one of the suspects. Deputy Daniel was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
