Description: Deputy Marshal Dorsay was shot and killed in California while attempting to question a man about a suspect. Marshal Dorsay and two Oakland police officers knocked on the door of a witness's residence and stated they were federal officers. Meanwhile, the resident, who was deaf and blind, shot through the door into Marshal Dorsay's neck. Marshal Dorsay was killed instantly and the other officers wrestled the gun from the man. The man was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter because he thought the officers were burglars.
