Description: Sergeant Douglas succumbed to injuries while in a coma from a motorcycle accident. On July 2, 2003, Sergeant Douglas' department motorcycle collided with a vehicle which had entered an intersection illegally. The collision threw Sergeant Douglas into the path of a pickup truck which proceeded to run him over. Sergeant Douglas was taken to the hospital where he remained in a coma until he died five years later.
