Description: Officer Distel was killed in a motorcycle accident while on patrol in Riverside County. A pick-up truck pulling a trailer suddenly turned in front of him, causing a collision. Officer Distel was thrown approximately 50 yards when his motorcycle wedged between the truck and trailer. Officer Distel was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
